Praise be to Allah
Summary: The Dua of Arafah is accepted for non-pilgrims as well, insha’Allah.
Detailed Answer: The Day of Arafah, the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah, is a significant day for Muslims worldwide. It is well known that the dua made by pilgrims on the plains of Arafah is of immense importance and is strongly believed to be accepted by Allah. However, for those who are not performing Hajj, the day is still filled with great blessings, and making dua on this day is highly recommended and accepted, insha’Allah.
Shaykh Ibn Baz (رحمه الله) mentioned that making dua on the Day of Arafah is a great opportunity for all Muslims, whether they are performing Hajj or not. The virtue of this day and the blessings it carries extend to all those who seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness sincerely.
Moreover, the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“The best of supplications is the supplication on the Day of Arafah”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3585).
This indicates that the excellence of making supplication on this day is not limited to those at Arafah but is inclusive for all believers across the globe.
And Allah Knows Best
